ISC: Lara Kurt (Leland, N.C. / User Experience (UX) Design) began the singles competition playing six games to be ranked for bracket play. Kurt had a six-game pinfall total of 1217 (198, 199, 207, 221, 148, 244) to place her in 12
th.
In bracket play, she started round one playing against Lindenwood's Karsyn Brasssch winning 553 to 537. Advancing to round two, Kurt then played North Carolina A&T's Lauren Tomaszewski winning 629-614.
During round three, she played Arkansas State's Maggie Thoma where she won 635-548 advancing to the semifinals. Playing Wichita State's Paige Wagner, Kurt lost a close game of 235-226 to finish her competition at the ISC. Wagner went on to win the event.
ITC: The Bees began their competition with two blocks of games, which are made up of 12 games, to be ranked for bracket play. The results of the first block had SCAD placed in 16 with a 12-game pinfall total of 2282.
Games 13-24 results for the Bees was a total pinfall of 2343 giving them an overall total of 4625, placing them in 15
th going into the bracket.
On Thursday afternoon, SCAD competed in round one of the competitions against the ranked two team of Louisiana Tech. The Bees won against the Bulldogs 4-3 where they moved onto to play Wichita State in round two Thursday evening.
In round two SCAD unfortunately lost 4-1 to the Shockers but was placed in the loser's bracket to hopefully earn a spot in the finals. Friday morning, the Bees competed in round four against Mount Mercy, winning 4-2. The Bees faced Louisiana Tech again in round five losing 4-0.
