SAVANNAH, Ga. – The SCAD women's bowling team hosted the SCAD Shootout I and II, presented by Sunstates Security, on Saturday and Sunday. The Bees won Shootout I on Saturday and won Shootout II on Sunday.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS: Each day consisted of four individual games followed by three five-game baker sets with total pinfall determining the winner.
SHOOTOUT I: The Bees won the six-team event with a total pinfall of 6535. Milligan University finished in second with a total pinfall of 6227, while SCAD Atlanta finished in third with a total pinfall of 6180.
Ana Olaya (Cali, Columbia / Creative Business Leadership) won the individual title with a four-game pinfall total of 854, averaging 213.5 per game. Her win earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Grace Bringham (Orlando, Fla. / Interior Design) also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, finishing in third with a total pinfall of 776 and an average of 194.
After the 15 baker games, the Bees had a total pinfall of 2875 to average 191.67 a game.
SHOOTOUT II: The Bees won the six-team event with a total pinfall of 6487, while Emmanuel College finished in second with a total pinfall of 6278.
Lara Kurt (Leland, N.C. / User Experience (UX) Design) won the individual title with a total pinfall of 859 for a four-game average of 214.75.
Olaya earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team as well, finishing in third with a total pinfall of 809 for an average of 202.25.
