SAVANNAH, Ga. – The SCAD men's bowling team hosted the SCAD Shootout I and II, presented by Sunstates Security, on Saturday and Sunday. The Bees placed second in Shootout I on Saturday and Shootout II on Sunday.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS: Each day consisted of four individual games followed by three five-game baker sets with total pinfall determining the winner.
SHOOTOUT I: The Bees finished in second in the 10-team event with a total pinfall of 6625. Webber International University won the event with a total pinfall of 6677, while SCAD Atlanta finished in third with a total pinfall of 6328.
Julian Salinas (Houston, Texas / User Experience (UX) Design) won the individual title with a four-game pinfall total of 946, averaging 236.5 per game. His win earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
After the 15 baker games, the Bees had a total pinfall of 2755 to average 183.67 a game.
SHOOTOUT II: The Bees finished second in the 10-team event with a total pinfall of 6859, while Webber International won the event with a total pinfall of 6988.
Tyrell Ingalls (Grand Island, N.Y. / Sound Design) finished second in the individual event with a total pinfall of 935 for a four-game average of 233.75, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Salinas finished in fourth with a total pinfall of 868 for an average of 217.
