SAVANNAH, Ga. – Director of Golf Amanda Workman Haverstick is excited to announce the signing of Spanish standout Barbara Rodriguez.

Hailing from Spain, Rodriguez has a current scoring average of 74 and has won two events thus far in 2021. She placed first in at the Youth Championship of Las Palmas with a three under total while also finishing first in IX Mércora's tournament (73-69).

Along with her first-place finishes, Rodriguez won all three matches at the Spanish Women's Championship, helping the Canarian golf team win the second division.

At the XVII Seaside Collections Tournament, Rodriguez finished in second place (73-69) and she finished in fourth on the Bridgestone Golf Cup (73-74).

"We are thrilled to add Barbara to our family!" states Coach Workman Haverstick. "She brings tremendous experience, a fantastic competitive energy and such passion as an artist athlete. From our first meeting I knew she would be a perfect fit here in Savannah with our team and the university. We couldn't be more excited to watch her tee it up as part of our team next fall."

Rodriguez is interested in pursuing film, acting and photography while at SCAD.
