QUICK CAST: The SCAD men's and women's fishing teams competed on Bull Shoals Lake in Mountain Home, Arkansas in the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series on April 25-27.
TOURNAMENT INFO: The three-day tournament included two qualifying days and a final championship day. To make it to the championship, a team had to finish in the top-12, of the 200-boat field, after the first two days of competition.
TEAM FINISHES: SCAD's top finishing boat was
Daniel Kennedy and
Cody Stahl with 26lbs-9oz for 59
th-place.
Abigail Askew and
Chasten Whitfield finished in 147
th with 21lbs-3oz while
Ryleigh Tyson and
Abigale Devane finished in 157
th with 19lbs-3oz.
Laura Ann Foshee and
Haley Porter weighed 16lbs-15oz for 164
th.
COACH KUTIL: "The fishing conditions over the three days were optimal" states Head Coach
Jared Kutil. "Everyone in the field was catching nice sized fish. Our predictions were correct – we knew it would be a tough competition and with the amount of weight being brought in, it was. However, everyone had a lot of fun catching a lot of fish."
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will head to the final Carhartt Bassmaster College Series qualifier of the year on the St. Lawrence River in Waddington, N.Y. in June.
