Strong Offense Propels Men’s Soccer Past Florida Memorial

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The SCAD Savannah men's soccer team defeated The Sun Conference opponent (TSC) Florida Memorial on the road Saturday night.

RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-4, 2-0 TSC while the Lions fall to 0-4, 0-3 TSC overall.

HAT TRICK: Cian Lynch scored three of the four goals for the Bees in the win. He scored the second, third and fourth goals as the Bees won 4-1. Alfie Raw drew the assist for Lynch's first goal while Tom Barry earned the assist on Lynch's second goal and Nassim El Bouthtouri made the assist on the third.

FIRST GOAL: Barry earned his first assist when he connected with Arthur Bello Veiga who scored the first goal of the game at the 23:37 mark.

BOX SCORE: SCAD out-shot Florida Memorial 19-8 with 10 of those on goal to the Lions' two shots on goal. The Bees tallied nine corner kicks to the Lions' one.

Barry led the Bees in shots with six – four on goal. Lynch tallied four shots on goal and three goals while Veiga took four shots and Alejandro Rodriguez Gil totaled three shots.

Goalie Joe Parker had one save on two shots on goal in his 90 minutes of work.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Bees will return home to host Southeastern on Wednesday, October 4 at 6:00 p.m.
