Box Score QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah women's soccer team defeated the Tigers of Georgetown College 4-0 Saturday morning.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 4-0-1 on the season while the Tigers are now 2-1.
GOALS ABOUND: SCAD scored the first goal of the game when
Riley Shelton got the ball out wide and crossed it inside the six, where
Alyssa Rodemsky volleyed it low past the keeper at the 8:52 mark.
Three minutes later the Tigers' goalkeeper came out of the 18 to clear a ball where it then bounced to midfielder
Annie Sullivan who chipped the keeper from 40 yards out.
The third goal came when Georgetown's keeper mishandled a
Mikaela Heyboer shot and
Nikki Abel sent it in the back of the net.
The Bees' last goal of the game came early in the second half when Abel took a shot from out wide that was deflected by the keeper to oncoming Heyboer who finished it.
BOX SCORE: The Bees' defense held the Tigers to only five shots (two on goal) while SCAD dominated with 28 shots (16 on goal).
Abel led SCAD with four shots – all on goal – with one goal and one assist.
Hannah Amidon, Rodemsky, Sullivan
Hope Kemp-Hanson and Heyboer totaled three shots each while Shelton picked up the second assist.

Natalia McElrath split time in the goal and both picked one save each.
DID YOU KNOW? This is the first season since 2011 that the Bees have won four of their first five games. In 2011, SCAD went 4-1 to start the season and finished with an overall record of 13-5.
