Men’s Soccer Suffers Tough Overtime Loss

Box Score QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah men's soccer team suffered a tough 3-2 overtime loss at Dalton State Sunday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-4 on the season while the Roadrunners improve to 6-1.
 
OVERTIME: SCAD was down 1-0 after the first half but took the 2-1 lead after Arthur Veiga scored on an assist from Alejandro Gil in the 53rd minute and Tom Barry scored on an assist from Johan Renli at the 78:18 mark.
 
Less than 10 minutes later, Dalton State tied the game to send the game into overtime.
 
Just into overtime the Roadrunners scored again to win the game.
 
BOXSCORE: The Bees totaled five shots – all on goal – while Dalton State totaled 10 (seven on goal).
 
Barry led the team in shots with two – both of which were on goal – to go along with his goal. Veiga went one for one while Willian Santana and Cian Lynch both tallied on shot on goal.
 
Goalie Joe Parker totaled four saves in his 91:03 minutes of work.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? SCAD returns home on Saturday, September 23 when the team hosts Keiser University in the first Sun Conference game of the season at 7:00 p.m.
