Men’s Soccer Shuts-Out St. Andrews

Box Score QUICK HIT: The SCAD Savannah men's soccer team shut-out St. Andrews 1-0 on Friday night.
 
RECORDS: SCAD improves to 2-1 while St. Andrews falls to 0-1.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Arthur Bello Veiga scored the only goal of the game a minute and 50 seconds into the first half.
 
BOX SCORE: SCAD out-shot the Knights 17-12 and totaled 13 corner kicks to the Knights' three.
 
Veiga led the Bees in shots with four while Cian Lynch added three of his own and Alejandro Rodriguez, Tom Barry and Garren Hayes totaled two a piece.
 
Goalie Joe Parker earned the win with five saves in his 90 minutes of work.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This is the first time SCAD has defeated St. Andrews. The Bees tied the Knights in the 2015 season and lost to them in the 2016 season.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain at home to host Tennessee Wesleyan on Saturday, August 26 at 4:30 p.m.
