Box Score QUICK SCORE: The No. 5 seeded SCAD Savannah men's soccer team upset the No. 4 seeded Southeastern on the road Saturday in the first round of the Sun Conference (TSC) Championships.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 8-8 overall while the Fire end their season with a 8-7 record.
FOUR GOALS, FOUR PLAYERS: SCAD took the lead in the 27
th minute as
Arthur Bello Veiga scored the first goal of the game off an assist from
Ewald Bugase.
The Bees' lead doubled 13 minutes later when Bugase scored a goal of his own on an assist by
Tom Barry.
Barry went on to increase SCAD's lead to three when he scored at the 73:09 mark off of a header on a deflection.
The Fire scored back-to-back goals in the 76
th and 79
th minutes but it was not enough as
Cian Lynch put the game out of reach (4-2) of Southeastern at the 89:23 mark on a penalty kick.
BOXSCORE: Bugase and Barry led the Bees with one goal and one assist each while Bugase and Veiga totaled three shots a piece.
