Box Score QUICK SCORE: The SCAD Savannah men's soccer team lost its first The Sun Conference (TSC) game tonight as the Bees fell 3-2 in overtime to the Fire of Southeastern University.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-5 overall with a 2-1 mark in conference action. The Fire are now 3-4-1, 2-1-1 TSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD scored the first goal of the game just over five minutes into the first half when
Cian Lynch took the ball down the right side of the field and beat the goalie.
Forty-three seconds later, the Fire tied the game on a penalty kick.
Tom Barry gave the Bees the lead at the 29:25 mark off an assist from
Jacob Jensen. Unfortunately, Southeastern tied the game once again in the 43
rd minute.
Neither team scored for the remainder of regulation forcing the game into overtime. Just over five minutes into overtime, the Fire scored to clinch the win.
BOX SCORE: SCAD totaled 11 shots, five on goal and two corner kicks.
Lynch led the Bees in shots with four while Barry totaled three. Jensen,
Willian Santana, Arthur Bello Veiga and
Alfie Raw tallied one shot each.
