Keiser Scores Twice in Ten Minutes to Defeats Bees 2-0

West Palm Beach, Florida – Keiser scored a goal in each half to post a 2-0 conference win over the SCAD men's soccer team. With the win the Seahawks improve to 5-6-1 overall and 4-1 in the Sun Conference while the Bees fall to 5-6-2 and 1-3-1 in conference play.

Keiser started the strong controlling the ball for majority of the first half and outshooting the Bees 10-1. Late in the first half the Seahawks were threatening putting four straight shots on frame, but Fernando Zeledon made four saves to keep the game scoreless. In the 44th minute, Keiser took advantage of a SCAD penalty as Shoval Failer converted a penalty kick to give the Bees a 1-0 lead at the break.

The Seahawks extend their lead seven minutes into the second half as Thomas Dawson's corner kick connected with Adil Iich for a goal to give Keiser a 2-0 lead. The Bees had a chance to cut the lead in the 66th minute as Jordan Trinci-Lyne took a penalty kick, but Vinnie Cainth made one of his four saves to keep the score the same.

Zeledon finished the game with five saves in 77 minutes of action.

SCAD return to action Sunday, October 11, when they host conference foe Johnson & Wales. Game time is set for 3 p.m. at the SCAD Athletic Complex. Livestats for that game will be available here.
