Box Score After losing their first two games for the 2014-2015 season, the Bees returned home to their first victory against the Knights of Middle Georgia State University.
It did not take long for the Bees to establish their superiority in the game. Only three minutes into the match
Jordan Trinci-Lyne (undeclared) put the Bees on top at 1-0. He was assisted on his first goal of the season by
Will Oswin (B.A., Graphic Design).
SCAD's men spent most of their time on the Knights' side of the pitch because of a tenacious defense that allowed a miniscule five shots from the opponent (only two on goal). Meanwhile, SCAD had six of their 15 shots on goal — three of them finding the back of the net.
Scoring the two final goals for the Bees were
Sergi Sauras (B.A. Architecture) to also score his first goal of the season unassisted. On an assist from
Jordan Chambers (B.A. Advertising Design),
Torin Melville (B.A., Industrial Design), was able to score his season's second goal to finish the Bees' scoring on the day.
The Knights were able to connect on one goal in the last three minutes of the game to bring the final score to 3-1. For the Bees, it was game that has the potential to turn things around. Congratulations SCAD and keep up the good play.
Next up for the Bees is a home game set for Friday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. at the SCAD Athletics Complex, located at 3650 Speedway Blvd., in Hardeeville, South Carolina. They are set to play Milligan College. Come out and support your Bees.
