Box Score

Jordan Trinci-Lyne (undeclared) was the hero of the game Saturday when he scored the only goal in the match against conference rival Ave Maria University. The goal was his third of the season, tying with Torin Melville (B.A., industrial design) for the SCAD team lead.

Trinci-Lyne scored on an assist by Inaki Ruiz (B.A., industrial design) four minutes into the game and the defense of the Bees made the score stand up for a 1-0 win over the Gyrenes.  The Bees are now 1-0-1 in conference play and 2-2-2 for the overall season.

Since starting the season with single goal losses against the University of Northwestern Ohio and William Carey University, the Bees have put together four straight games in which they have held their opponents to just four goals (one per game). Goalie Fernando Zeledon (B.A., industrial design) got his first win of the season to go along with two saves.

SCAD's next game is a home match on Saturday, Oct. 4, against Webber International University, another conference opponent. Game time is at 7 p.m. at the SCAD Athletics Complex, located at 3650 Speedway Blvd., in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Come out to cheer on your Bees.
