M. Soccer Loses 0-1 to Florida Memorial

10/13/2013 11:54:00 PM

Box Score

The SCAD Men's Soccer Team suffered its second shutout of the season at the hands of the Florida Memorial Lions.  FMU won its first match of the season (1-9) dropping SCAD's overall record to 7-6, 3-3 in conference play.

The Bees were unable to mount any offensive threat as they were only allowed two shots on goal for the match.  The Lions scored a goal in the first 4 minutes of the game and with a sterling defense was able to make it stand.

It was a very physical match with 28 fouls and 6 yellow cards called, but the Bees faced a team that gave them a taste of their own medicine.  SCAD has had a tough time putting the ball in the net as their 4 goals over the last four matches demonstrates.  Hopefully, this will improve as they travel to West Palm Beach, Florida on 10/18 to take on Northwood University in the first of only four remaining conference matches.  Kickoff begins at 1 p.m.
