Box Score
SCAD's men had great night in Daytona Beach, Florida as the they shutout the Eagles of Embry-Riddle 1-0   The victory marks the fifth shutout of the season for the Bees.

The first period resulted in a stalemate with both teams getting little opportunity to score. Nine shots were taken in the first half (SCAD 6, Embry-Riddle 3), but only SCAD had one “on goal.”  However, the second period saw the Bees come out with an attack strategy.

Coach Tom Melville commented, “Our plan to open with more width in the attack worked well in the second period.  John McAleenan and Jordan Trinci-Lyne earned some good looks at the goal.”  While Melville credits a team effort for the well-deserved win, he pointed out some individual play that impacted the match.  “Left winger, William Oswin worked tirelessly down the left side and succeeded in getting behind Riddle's right back on numerous occasions.”

Melville further commented that “[Embry-Riddle] mounted a few runs at the Bees in the last 20 minutes , but to no avail…Josh Brown had a solid night in goal with four saves, but two of those saves were quality as the strikes were right on target.”  The Bees' lone score came when Nial Doherty slipped in from the left side a fed the ball to McAleenan, who bent it around the outstretched goalkeeper at the 56:15 mark.”

By their victory the Bees move their overall record to 8-5-1.  SCAD stands at 6-2-1 in conference play.

The Bees return home to play its last season game on 10/25.  The Bees' opponent will be Thomas University.  Prior to the 7 p.m. game SCAD will honor its six senior players in a “senior Night” celebration.
