HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – Five different players scored as the SCAD Savannah men's soccer team shut out Brewton-Parker College 5-0 Wednesday (Sept. 29) evening at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
The 21st-ranked Bees snapped their two-match losing streak and improved to 8-2-0 while the Barons fell to 2-6-1. SCAD returns to action Sunday (Oct. 3) when they host Florida Memorial University in a 3 p.m. The Sun Conference match,
SCAD scored four times in the first half.
Ellert Hreinsson scored his team-leading 13th goal in the sixth minute of the first of two assists from
Steve Dowling. The Bees made it 2-0 on
Matt Dwyer's fourth goal off an assist from
Jean Morana in the 15th minute.
Theo Angus went top shelf on a kick from 25 yards out 37 seconds later. Morana scored the final goal of the half on an assist from Angus. The Bees, who outshot the Barons 33-2, got their final goal with just under nine minutes remaining from
Tanner Lambeseder.
