MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Four different Auburn University Montgomery players scored as they defeated No. 16 SCAD Savannah 4-1 in a non-conference men's soccer match Friday (Oct. 8) afternoon at the AUM Soccer Complex.

The Senators improved to 6-5-2 while the Bees fell to 9-3-0. SCAD returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 10) when they travel to Thomasville, Ga., for a match against Thomas (Ga.) University.

AUM opened the scoring in the ninth minute on Gunnar Kristinsson's fifth goal of the season. SCAD, which had two shots hit the crossbar in the opening 20 minutes, tied the match at 1 on Ellert Hreinsson's score off a Karl Sjostrom assist at the 17:14 mark. It was Hreinsson's 14th goal of the season, tying the university's single-season record for goals set by John Attridge (2000).

The Senators retook the lead in the 30th minute on a goal by Tornubari Nyonebue. AUM added two insurance goals in the second half.
