HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Three different players scored as the Savannah College of Art and Design men's soccer team recorded a 3-0 The Sun Conference victory over Northwood (Fla.) University on Senior Day Sunday (Oct. 25) afternoon at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

The Bees improved to 10-3-2 overall and wrapped up conference play at 7-1-1. SCAD, which missed the playoffs a year ago, is guaranteed to finish no lower than second place and will host one of the two semifinal matches in the conference tournament Nov. 7. Northwood fell to 9-6-1 and 6-3-0. SCAD wraps up the regular season Nov. 3 with a 4 p.m. contest against Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Ga.

SCAD took a 1-0 lead at the 12:37 mark. Josiah Millar took the initial shot that Northwood goalie Ryan Wallich couldn't hold on to the save and an opportunistic Karl Sjostrom knocked in the rebound for his third goal of the season. The Bees made it 2-0 when Dan Fadida converted a penalty kick in the 38th minute after Ellert Hreinsson was taken down in the box. The Bees tallied their final goal when Millar scored off a flick from Hreinsson at the 49:23 mark. It was Millar's fifth goal of 2009.
