DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University scored twice in the first half en route to a 2-0 The Sun Conference men's soccer victory over the Savannah College of Art and Design Saturday (Oct. 10) evening at the ERAU Soccer Stadium.
The 16th-ranked Eagles improved to 8-3-2 overall and to 3-0-2 in the conference while the Bees fell to 7-3-2 and 4-1-1. SCAD returns to action Oct. 18 with a 2 p.m. league encounter with Johnson & Wales (Fla.) University at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
Embry-Riddle took a 1-0 lead when Ryan Woods scored off a Ryan Maloney assist. The Eagles added an insurance goal 15 minutes later when Maloney connected with teammate Phil Middleton for the score.
