After winning all five of his individual events at the SCAD Invite, Joel Ax, has been named Reed Publications Male Artist-Athlete Player of the Week.

Ax began the meet winning the 1650 freestyle with a time 15:45.17. Ax followed that up with wins in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, and 500 free. His time of 44.77 in the 100 free was 0.46 seconds away from breaking the school record set in 2013.

Ax also had a big role on the relay teams helping the 4x50 free relay, 4x100 free relay, and 4x50 medley relay to first place finishes.

The men’s swimming team won the SCAD Invitation scoring 1188 points.
