TAMPA, Fla.- Gianni Stubbs and Jess Lyons have been named the Sun Conference Men's and Women's Track Athletes of the Week.

Sun Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Gianni Stubbs | Sophomore | Hatfield, Essendon, Hertfordshire, England

Stubbs was fleet footed for the Bees with a first-place finish in the 800m at the Georgia Southern Relays. He bested the second-place finisher by just over three seconds with a time of 1:54.57.

Sun Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Jess Lyons | Junior | Allentown, N.J.

Lyons notched a school record this past weekend in the 400m with a time of 1:01.07 good for second place in the Georgia Southern Relays. She was also a member of the first place 4x400m team who recorded a time of 4:13.45.

The Bees are back in action at the Sun Conference Championship on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 in Lakeland, Fla.
