GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The SCAD men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed well and had a strong showing at the Sun Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday, coming home with four Individual Titles.
TEAM SCORES: The men's team finished fifth overall, while the women's team finished in fourth. In the men's meet, St. Thomas won, while Southeastern won the women's meet.
CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS: Talia Sullivan won the women's 5K with a time of 17:30.63, and then turned around and won the women's 3K with a Sun Conference record time of 10:15.33.
The women's DMR team of
Mila Gresh,
Clara Wallace,
Carlotta Walser, and
Talia Sullivan set a new Sun Conference record with their first-place time of 12:47.26.
In the men's mile,
Tom Schroeder won with a time of 4:21.87.
TOP THREE FINISHES: Edith Manfred finished second in the women's 5K with a time of 17:49.54, and second in the women's 3K with a time of 10:29.53.
Ethan Davis finished third in the men's 5K, setting a new school record and finishing third with a time of 14:58.70, which would have been a conference record in previous years.
The men's DMR team of

Aiden Andrews, and
Gianni Stubbs finished in second with a time of 10:21.32.
Hannah Fisher,
Amelia Slagle,
Anastasia Harmon, and
Ella Hodges finished second in the women's 4x800 relay with a time of 10:05.33.
In the women's mile,
Mila Gresh finished third with a time of 5:21.24.

WHAT'S NEXT? Members of the men's and women's indoor track & field team will travel back to Gainesville, Fla. for the NAIA National Championships on March 5-7 at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Point.
