Aidan Furukawa of SCAD Savannah was named SSAC Men's Bowler of the Week, and
Elizabeth Weeks of SCAD Savannah was named SSAC Women's Bowler of the Week. The awards are based on performance for the week of Jan. 12-18.
Aidan Furukawa – Sophomore – Sunbury, Ohio
- This is his fourth-career honor
- Furukawa finished fifth individually at the Tier 1 USBC Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic
- He knocked down an average of 232.6 pins across five games to earn All-Tournament Team honors
Elizabeth Weeks – Junior – Florence. S.C.
- This is her fourth-career weekly honor
- Weeks finished 27th at the Tier 1 USBC Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic
- She knocked down 199.6 pins per game to help the Bees to a fifth place finish in a field of 55
Men's and women's bowling will return home to host the NAIA Open 1 and NAIA Open 2 on February 7-8.
