ADDISON, Ill. – The SCAD men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Addison, Ill. to compete in the Tier 1 USBC Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic on Saturday and Sunday, finishing sixth and fifth, respectively.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The two-day tournament consisted of five individual games followed by 16 baker games, with total pinfall determining a winner. The top five individuals earn spots on the All-Tournament Team.
MEN'S RESULTS: At the conclusion of the five individual games, the Bees were in eighth place with a total pinfall of 5258.
Aidan Furukawa earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team with a total pinfall of 1163 over five games for an average of 232.6.
SCAD had a total pinfall of 3296 after 16 baker games for a combined total of 8554, placing them sixth overall in the field of 68. Calumet College of St. Joseph won the event with a total pinfall of 8962.
WOMEN'S RESULTS: The Bees had a total pinfall of 4722 after the completion of the five individual games, placing them 10
th overall heading into the baker games.
Elizabeth Weeks was SCAD's top finisher, placing 27
th overall with a five-game total pinfall of 998 for an average of 199.6.
The Bees moved up five spots during the baker games with a total pinfall of 3249 for a combined total pinfall of 7971 to finish in fifth overall.
WHAT'S TEXT? The Bees return home to host the Tier 2 NAIA Open 1 and NAIA Open 2 on February 7 and 8.
