TAMPA, Fla. – For the second time this season, SCAD cross country has swept the Sun Conference Runner of the Week Honors. Gianni Stubbs and Talia Sullivan have been named the SUN Men's and Women's Runners of the Week for the week ending September 28.
Gianni Stubbs | Freshman | Hatfield, Essendon, Hertfordshire, England
Stubbs was SCAD's top finisher at the FSU XC Invite with an 8K time of 25:11.5, placing him 15th in the field of 317. The freshman placed first among all NAIA runners as the only runners to finish ahead of him were from NCAA DI institutions. With his time, Stubbs ties for the 10th fastest time in SCAD program history.
Talia Sullivan | Graduate | Lustleigh, Devon, England
Sullivan was SCAD's top finisher at the FSU XC Invite, finishing in 12th. Her time of 22:00.9 is fourth in SCAD's record books, bringing her within 11 seconds of her second-place time in program history.
The Bees return to action on Friday, October 3 at the Fire Tower Project hosted by Appalachian State.
