NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America has announced the 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipients, and SCAD was named the 2024-25 Academic National Champion for the NAIA with a 3.74 grade point average (GPA).
To be named an Academic National Champion, a team must finish with the top GPA in its respective division. The Bees are joined by NCAA DI Harvard, NCAA DII Findlay, NCAA DIII Bowdoin, NJCAA Division I, NJCAA Division II Southwestern, and HBCU Alabama State as Academic National Champions.
A GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Gol Team Academic Award, while 129 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
The Bees also totaled four Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, as announced by the GCAA:

Jack Layman, and
Felix Straub.
