Women's Lacrosse Advances To NAIA Semifinals

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 3 SCAD Savannah women's lacrosse team triumphed over No. 10 Lawrence Tech with a final score of 21-17 in the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinal on April 30, 2025.

RECORDS: The Bees improved to 15-3, while the Blue Devils finished their season at 10-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Lawrence Tech started strong, leading 6-2 at the end of the first quarter. SCAD fought back in the second quarter, narrowing the gap but went into halftime trailing 11-7.

In the third quarter, SCAD continued to press, scoring 6 goals to Lawrence Tech's 5, bringing the score to 16-13. The Bees exploded in the fourth quarter with 8 goals, ultimately securing their victory.

Ellen Benintendi led SCAD, finishing with 9 goals. McKinsey Brown contributed significantly with 4 goals and 4 assists, and Emma Roch added 4 goals as well.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: SCAD showcased strong performance in draw controls, winning 21 to Lawrence Tech's 20. The Bees caused 25 turnovers, demonstrating effective defensive strategies.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will face Benedictine College tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. in the semifinals of the NAIA National Championship.
