TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces its major awards and All-Conference teams on Tuesday, and SCAD's Lisa Konrad was named the Champion of Character. Yue Yu was named to the All-Conference First Team, while Cherry Xiang was named to the Second Team.
 
Champion of Character
 
Lisa Konrad – Jr. | Karlsruhe, Germany
Konrad not only participates in and leads all of our community service activities, but she is a standout, organizing and collecting clothing for a local shelter benefiting the homeless and women. She is an excellent human being and represents the college and tennis players at a high standard.
 
First-Team
 
Yue Yu – Gr. | Dalian, China
Yu had a perfect 4-0 record in Sun Conference action at number two singles. The graduate student went 9-2 overall at number two. Along with her doubles partner, Lisa Konrad, Yu compiled a record of 9-6 overall, 7-6 at number one doubles, and 2-0 at the number two spot.
 
Second-Team
 
Cherry Xiang – So. | Hangzhou, China
Xiang played at numbers one, two, and three singles throughout the year, compiling an overall record of 5-6. The sophomore went 5-3 at number one singles. Xiang partnered with multiple people throughout the season in doubles action and has an overall doubles record of 7-7.
 
SCAD will compete in the Sun Conference Championship on Thursday, April 24^th at 10:30 a.m. in Brunswick, Ga
