TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announced its major awards and All-Conference teams on Tuesday, and SCAD's Head Coach
Pat Page has been named the Sun Conference Coach of the Year, and four players were named to the All-Conference Teams.
Adam Jaupart and
Danil Ozernoy have been named to the Sun Conference First Team, and
Diego Fernandez and
Mark Tryakshin were named to the Second Team. The Bees finished the regular season as the Sun Conference Co-Champions, a feat that has not been accomplished in recent history for the men's program.
First-Team
Adam Jaupart – So. | Croissy sur Seine, France
Jaupart has an overall record of 11-4, 5-1 SUN, going 1-2 at number two singles and 10-2 at number three singles. The sophomore, along with his doubles partner
Ahmed Abdelaziz, finished the regular season with a 6-2 overall record at number three doubles.
Danil Ozernoy – Sr. | Almaty, Kazakhstan
Ozernoy has an overall record of 9-3, 5-2 SUN at number one singles. He and his doubles partner,
David Lopez Cruz, finished the season with an overall 9-5 record at number one doubles, with a 4-2 record in Sun Conference action.
Second-Team
Diego Fernandez – Fr. | Lisbon, Portugal
Fernandez has an overall record of 5-6, going 5-2 at number four singles. Along with his doubles partner,
Mark Tryakshin, the freshman had an overall record of 7-3, 4-0 SUN at number two doubles.
Mark Tryakshin – Sr. | Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Tryakshin has an overall record of 9-2, 5-2 SUN at number two singles. He and his doubles partner,
Diego Fernandez, the senior, had an overall record of 7-3, 4-0 SUN at number two doubles.
Coach of the Year
Head Coach
Pat Page led the Bees to a 12-5 overall record and 6-1 in Sun Conference action this season. SCAD was named the Co-Regular Season Sun Conference Champions after defeating No. 3 Southeastern in the final regular season match of the year. This is the first time in recent history that the Bees have been named the Sun Conference Champions.
SCAD will compete in the Sun Conference Championship on Thursday, April 24
th at 2:30 p.m. in Brunswick, Ga.
