MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 9 SCAD men's tennis team defeated No. 10 Holy Cross College 4-3 in the second round of the NAIA National Championship on Wednesday, making history as the first men's tennis team to advance out of the second round.
RECORD: The Bees are now 13-6 overall, while the Saints end the season 13-3 overall.
DOUBLES POINT: SCAD won the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead heading into singles action.
SINGLES ACTION: The Bees traded points back and forth until the match was tied at 3-3.
Mark Tryakshin clinched the match, 4-3, winning at the number two singles spot to send SCAD into the quarterfinals.
