SARASOTA, FLA. – The No. 1 SCAD women's lacrosse team dominated the New College of Florida, winning decisively with a score of 13-2 on March 22, 2025, improving their record to 10-1 and 3-0 in the conference.Â
RECORDS: The Bees are now 10-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play, while the New College of Florida falls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Bees opened strong, with Ellen Benintendi scoring the first goal just over two minutes into the game. Emma Roch quickly followed her lead, netting her first goal with an assist from Annise Berkeley, putting SCAD ahead 2-0. New College managed to score a goal midway through the first quarter, but the Bees responded aggressively.Â
In the second quarter, SCAD seized control, scoring four goals. Karley Holland and Paige Christoff both contributed to the scoreline, assisted by strong plays from McKinsey Brown and Riley O'Keefe. By halftime, the Bees had built a substantial 6-1 lead.Â
The second half saw no letup from SCAD, as they added four more goals in the third quarter, highlighted by Emma Roch's stellar performance, scoring her third goal of the game, assisted by Karley Holland. The Bees' relentless offense and solid defensive plays left New College scoreless in the second half.Â
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Emma Roch led the scoring for the Bees with three goals, while McKinsey Brown contributed two goals and an impressive three assists. Other notable performances included Paige Christoff and Ellen Benintendi, each scoring two goals, and Karley Holland, who registered two goals and two assists as well.Â
The Bees outshot New College 31 to 10, reflecting their offensive dominance throughout the match. Goalkeepers Lorna Fowles and Chloe Zundel combined for a strong defensive effort, allowing only two goals and making five saves.Â
