Women's Lacrosse Falls to No. 3 Keiser University In Overtime

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No. 1 SCAD Savannah women's lacrosse team faced a tough challenge against No. 3 Keiser University, falling short with a final score of 14-13 in overtime on Sunday afternoon.

RECORDS: The Bees now stand at 10-2 and 3-1 in the conference, while Keiser University improves to 12-0 and maintains a perfect 4-0 conference record.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Bees started strong, with Karley Holland finding the back of the net five times, showcasing her skill and determination. Annise Berkeley contributed two goals, while Emily Odegaard and Emma Roch each chipped in with two goals as well. The Bees kept pace with Keiser throughout the match, with a skilled performance from McKinsey Brown, who not only scored but also provided four assists, demonstrating her playmaking ability.

Though SCAD led at times, Keiser's balanced scoring and effective offense were too much to overcome. The Bees managed to close the gap several times, including a critical goal from Holland toward the end of the game, but they ultimately fell just short in their quest for victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Karley Holland led the Bees with five goals, marking a standout performance for the season. Annise Berkeley and Emily Odegaard each contributed three points, with two goals and one assist for Odegaard. McKinsey Brown was instrumental in the attack, delivering four assists to go along with her goal. Emma Roch also had a solid outing with two goals.

Goalkeeper Chloe Zundel recorded one save in her time in the goal, while Lorna Fowles logged additional minutes, accumulating seven saves.

WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will look to bounce back as they travel to take on Rv. Webber International on April 4th.
