BABSON PARK, Fla. – The No. RV SCAD men's lacrosse team fell 20-3 to No. 2 Webber International on Tuesday afternoon.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 4-7 overall, while the Warriors remain undefeated on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Webber International opened the scoring with five unanswered goals in the first quarter to go up 5-0 heading into the second quarter.
SCAD's
Mason Hickman scored the first of his two unassisted goals at the 11:32 mark in the second quarter. The Warriors put five more goals on the board to take a 10-1 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter,
Mason Hickman scored his second goal off an assist from
Jonathan O'Bryant Graves, but Webber added nine goals to go up 19-2 going into the final quarter.
Peter Zagaroli scored the third goal for the Bees, off an assist from
Michael Mowers, to make the final score 20-3 in favor of the Warriors.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Mason Hickman led the offense with two goals, while
Peter Zagaroli added one goal.
Jonathan O'Bryant Graves and Michael O'Bryant totaled one assist, each.
Lucas Martinez picked up a game-high eight ground balls while winning 10 of 21 face offs.
David Nebus had a team-high two caused turnovers.
Goalies
Noah Miller and
Luke Lamendola split time in the cage with Miller totaling three saves and Lamendola totaling five.
