No. RV Men’s Lacrosse Defeats No. RV Point University on Saturday

WEST POINT, Ga. – The No. RV SCAD men's lacrosse team defeated No. RV Point University SCORE on Saturday, picking up its first AAC win of the season.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-5, 1-2 AAC, while the Skyhawks are now 3-3, 1-2 AAC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD got on the board first with a goal at the 9:49 mark from Evan Baker, assisted by David Nebus, to go up 1-0. Michael Mowers doubled the lead (2-0) three minutes later.
 
Point scored the last goal of the quarter to bring the score to 2-1 in favor of the Bees heading into the second.
 
The Skyhawks scored the first two goals in the second quarter to go up 3-2 with 12:15 remaining in the half.
 
With 9:09 on the clock, Noah Moreland, off an assist from Mason Hickman, gave the Bees the 4-3 lead. A Point goal with two minutes remaining in the half tied the game again, and neither team was able to take an advantage into halftime as the score remained knotted at four-all.
 
SCAD's Jonathan O'Bryant Graves scored the first goal in the third to give the Bees a 5-4 lead but both teams traded goals back and forth – SCAD's goals came from Sebastian Manuel, Noah Moreland (Michael Mowers) – until O'Bryant Graves scored again at the 1:50 mark to give SCAD an 8-7 lead heading into the final period.
 
The Bees out-scored the Skyhawks five to three, with goals from Jonathan O'Bryant Graves, Michael Mowers, Max Williams (2 – one assist from Mason Hickman), and Vihaan Patel (Sebastian Manuel) to clinch the 13-10 win.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Jonathan O'Bryant Graves had a hat trick on the day with three goals, while Michael Mowers, Max Williams, and Noah Moreland all totaled two goals. Mason Hickman and Sebastian Manuel added one goal each, with Hickman adding a team-high two assists.
 
Lucas Martinez went 18-23 at the face off, picking up a game-high 10 ground balls. Goalie Noah Miller totaled eight saves in his 60 minutes of work.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees return home to host Tennessee Wesleyan University on Thursday, March 6 at 4:00 p.m.
