GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 21 SCAD women's indoor track & field team made history at the 2025 U.S. Marines Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship.
For the first time in program history, the Bees earned All-American status at the Indoor National Championship. SCAD Savannah totaled six All-Americans. To earn All-American status, one must finish in the top eight overall.
The 4x800M relay team consisting of
Maddy Walter-Sherretts,
Mila Gresh,
Clara Wallace, and
Maggie Froning finished eighth overall with a time of 9:21.68 to be named All-Americans for the first time in indoor history. SCAD's qualifying time of 9:13.46 was a school record.
Maddy Walter-Sherretts finished seventh in the mile prelims with a time of 5:02.23, qualifying for the finals, where she placed eighth. With a personal best time of 4:56.36, she earned All-American status.
In the 800M,
Maggie Froning qualified for the finals with a fourth-place finish in the prelims with a time of 2:14.58. In the finals, the senior became the first NAIA Indoor Track & Field bronze medalist with a time of 2:15.65, becoming an All-American in the process.
Liz Hogan qualified for the 5000M final with a prelims time of 17:34.94. The graduate student finished 12
th overall in the final with a time of 18:02.60.
Talia Sullivan placed 17
th in the 5000M with a time of 18:08.00 and 14
th in the 3000M with a time of 10:24.55.
The distance medley relay team of
Carlotta Walser,
Jessica Lyons,
Clara Wallace, and
Mila Gresh finished 18
th in the prelims with a time of 12:52.40.
The Bees will return to action in the spring for the outdoor track & field season.
