BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – The No. 9 SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to Black Mountain, N.C., to face No. 6 Indiana Tech on Sunday, falling 17-5 on the road.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 0-3 overall, while the Warriors are now 2-0 to start the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Indiana Tech scored six unanswered goals in the first quarter to take a 6-0 lead heading into the second.
SCAD scored its first goal when
Mason Hickman found the back of the net at the 11:55 mark. The Warriors responded with three of their own goals before
Mason Hickman scored his second of the game with 4:18 remaining in the half.
Evan Baker scored the last goal of the quarter for the Bees as Indiana Tech went into halftime up 10-3.
The Bees' defense held Indiana Tech to only two goals in the third quarter. SCAD's
Max Williams, assisted by
Sebastian Manuel, added one goal for the Bees to go into the final quarter with the score at 12-4.
Sebastian Manuel scored SCAD's last goal of the game off an assist from
Theron Turnbull as the Warriors went on to win 17-5.

Noah Miller totaled 20 saves in his 60 minutes of work while
David Nebus,
Cameron Clark, and
Theron Turnbull added two caused turnovers each.
Lucas Martinez went 13-25 on the face off while tying a game-high six ground balls.
Mason Hickman had two goals for two points, while
Sebastian Manuel had one goal and one assist for two points.
Max Williams and
Evan Baker had one goal apiece.
