TIGERVILLE, SC – The SCAD women's lacrosse team delivered an impressive performance against North Greenville, clinching a commanding 20-8 victory on February 8, 2025.
RECORDS: SCAD improves to 3-0 overall, while North Greenville falls to 1-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD came out strong, matching North Greenville's intensity in the first quarter, ending it tied at 3-3. However, the Bees quickly took control in the second quarter, scoring an impressive 11 goals, including six from the standout Ellen Benintendi, who had a remarkable game. By halftime, SCAD had established a substantial 14-3 lead.
The third quarter saw SCAD maintain their momentum, adding five more goals while North Greenville managed to score only two, bringing the score to 19-5 heading into the final quarter. SCAD continued to dominate in the fourth, concluding the game with a total of 20 goals.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Ellen Benintendi led the charge for SCAD, netting six goals and contributing two assists. McKinsey Brown was also a key player, finishing with five goals and one assist. Karley Holland added four goals and one assist, while Mollie Geiger rounded out the scoring with two goals and an assist.
Defensively, SCAD excelled with 13 ground balls and controlled the draw with a total of 21 draw controls compared to North Greenville's 11. Goalkeeper Lorna Fowles made six saves, solidifying her team's defense.
