No. 9 Men’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 2 Webber International on Military Appreciation Day

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No. 9 SCAD men's lacrosse team hosted No. 2 Webber International University on Saturday and lost 13-9.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-5, 0-2 AAC, while the Warriors are 5-0, 2-0 AAC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Webber got on the board first with a goal at the 12:41 mark in the first quarter. However, the Bees answered with a goal a minute later from Michael Mowers to tie the game at one-all.
 
The Warriors made it a 2-1 game with 10 minutes remaining in the quarter, but three SCAD goals – Mason Hickman, Sebastian Manuel (Evan Baker), and Theron Turnbull (Manuel) – made it a 4-2 game in favor of the Bees heading into the second quarter.
 
Mason Hickman, off an assist from Noah Moreland, made it 5-2 less than 30 seconds into the second quarter.
 
Unfortunately, Webber International scored 10 goals before SCAD's Sebastian Manuel scored the Bees' last goal of the game at 9:59 in the fourth quarter to bring the score to 12-6. Three minutes later, the Warriors scored the last goal of the game to pick up the 13-6 win.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Sebastian Manuel led the offense for the Bees with two goals and one assist for three points. Mason Hickman totaled two goals, while Michael Mowers and Theron Turnbull added one goal each.
 
Lucas Martinez went 10-18 on the face and tied a game-high six ground balls. David Nebus led the defense with a game-high four caused turnovers to go along with four ground balls.
 
Goalie Noah Miller totaled 11 saves in his 60 minutes of work.
