MARIETTA, Ga. – The SCAD men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Marietta, Georgia, for the Tier 1 Bowlero South Collegiate Classic on Saturday and Sunday. The men's team finished in seventh, while the women's team advanced to match play and finished in second.
 
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The two-day tournament consisted of five individual games on Saturday, followed by 16 baker games on Sunday, with total pinfall determining seeding for match play. Match play consisted of the top four teams competing in a best-of-five series.
 
WOMEN'S RESULTS: The women's team finished in second after qualifying third with a total pinfall of 7493 heading into match play.
 
After the five individual games, SCAD was in fourth with a total pinfall of 4553. The University of Pikeville was leading after day one with a total pinfall of 4948.
 
The Bees had a total pinfall of 2940 after the baker games, placing them third with a total pinfall of 7493. The University of Pikeville qualified as the number one team with a total pinfall of 8004.
 
SCAD faced No. 2 Milligan University in the first round of match play, defeating them in straight games (202-178, 184-181, 215-189).
 
In the final round, the No. 3 Bees faced No. 1 Pikeville and lost in three games (256-200, 195-157, 202-169), placing them second overall.
 
Elizabeth Weeks was the Bees' top finisher in the individual games, placing sixth in the field of 99 with a total pinfall of 1003 for an average of 200.6.
 
MEN'S RESULTS: The men's team placed seventh overall with a two-day total pinfall of 8179. Webber International qualified as the number one team with a total pinfall of 8664.
 
On day one, SCAD was in second place with a total pinfall of 5113. Webber International University led after the individual games with a total pinfall of 5379.
 
The Bees had a total pinfall of 3046 after the baker games, putting them in seventh with a total pinfall of 8179
 
Individually, 
Aidan Furukawa was SCAD's top finisher, placing seventh after five individual games with a total pinfall of 1101 for an average of 220.2.
