KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The SCAD men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2025 NAIA Appalachian Challenge on Friday. The women's team finished in third overall, while the men's team finished in ninth.
WOMEN'S RESULTS: The No. 14 women's team finished the 5000M in third place with a total score of 125 points. No. 2 Milligan University won the event with 31 points, while No. 3 University of the Cumberlands finished second with 78 points.
Talia Sullivan was SCAD's top finisher, placing fifth with a time of 17:32.17.
2025 NAIA Appalachian Challenge – 5K – 18 Teams, 187 Runners
MEN'S RESULTS: The men's team finished ninth in the 8000M with a total score of 274 points. The Bees finished one spot ahead of Sun Conference opponent Southeastern University, which placed 10
th with 288 points.
Max Heins was SCAD's top finisher, placing 16
th with a time of 24:50.06. The junior's time places him second in the program record books.
