Women's Soccer Draws with Georgia Gwinnett

GWINNETT, Ga. - The No. 16 SCAD women's soccer team played a hard-fought match against No. RV Georgia Gwinnett, resulting in a 1-1 draw on Friday. 

RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-1-1 for the season, while Georgia Gwinnett stands at 4-1-1. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: The game was tightly contested from the start, with both teams showing strong defensive efforts. The first half ended scoreless, despite several attempts from both sides. SCAD's goalkeeper, Saga Bryntesson, made crucial saves to keep the game level. 

In the second half, SCAD broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute when Abigail Siddall scored, giving the Bees a 1-0 lead. Georgia Gwinnett responded in the 79th minute with a goal. Both teams continued to push for a winner, but the game ended in a 1-1 draw. 

KEY PERFORMERS: 

Abigail Siddall: Scored the opening goal for SCAD, showcasing her offensive skills. 

Saga Bryntesson: Made several key saves to keep SCAD in the game. 

Sydney Chura: Created multiple scoring opportunities and was a constant threat to the defense.
