SAVANNAH, Ga. - The SCAD women's soccer team showcased their dominance with a commanding 5-0 victory over Webber International University on Wednesday.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 7-1-1 (3-0-0 SUN) for the season, while Webber International falls to 1-4-0 (1-3-0 SUN).
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD took an early lead with Abigail Siddall scoring in the 11th minute, assisted by Ines Sommer. Sydney Chura doubled the lead in the 22nd minute, also assisted by Sommer.
The second half saw SCAD continue their offensive onslaught with Chura scoring again in the 67th minute, assisted by Mia Nelson. Lovisa Henell added another goal in the 68th minute, with Sommer providing her third assist of the match. Mia Nelson capped off the scoring in the 77th minute, assisted by Alice Eriksson and Emily Lau.
In addition to these stellar performances the night was made extra special as Sydney Chura and Ines Sommer both tied for all-time career records at SCAD. Chura tied the all-time goal scoring record (61) and Sommer drew level for most career assists (31).
