SAVANNAH, Ga. – The SCAD men's soccer team hosted No. RV Thomas University on Saturday and ended with a 1-1 draw.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-2-2 heading into conference action, while the Night Hawks are now 1-2-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Thomas got on the board first with a goal in the 41
st minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. SCAD answered as
Mario Goic found the back of the net off an assist from
Murilo Lara to knot the game at one-all at the 52:06 mark. Neither team scored for the remainder of the game to end in a 1-1 draw.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Goalie Max Keller made five crucial saves in the second half to keep the score even.
- Mario Goic scored one goal off of four shots on goal, keeping the Night Hawks' defense on their toes.
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain at home to open conference action with New College of Florida on Wednesday, September 18, at 7:00 p.m.
