MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The SCAD men's soccer team traveled to Brewton-Parker College on Wednesday and are returning home with a 1-0 win.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-2-1 overall, while the Barons are 0-6-1 to start the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD's defense held Brewton-Parker to only three shots in the first half. Neither team scored, leaving the game tied at halftime at 0-0.
 
Nineteen minutes into the second half, Mario Goic found the back of the net to give the Bees the 1-0 lead and, ultimately, the 1-0 win.
 
KEY PERFORMERS:

• Defenders Kimi Husler, German Moreno, Tim Rothe, and Daire Russell held the Barons to only seven shots, none of which were on goal.
• Mario Goic scored the game-winning goal, taking 12 shots, seven on goal, and keeping Brewton-Parker's defense on the run.
