SOUTHFIELD, MI - The SCAD women's soccer team continued their strong start to the season with a thrilling 5-3 victory over Lawrence Tech on Sunday.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 2-1-0 for the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD wasted no time in asserting their dominance. In the 8th minute, Abigail Siddall opened the scoring with a well-placed shot, assisted by Mia Nelson and Sydney Chura. Just two minutes later, Ines Sommer doubled the lead off an assist from Lucabella Ralph. SCAD's relentless pressure paid off again in the 40th minute when Sydney Chura found the back of the net, assisted by Abigail Siddall, giving the Bees a comfortable 3-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, SCAD continued to showcase their offensive prowess. Ines Sommer scored her second goal of the match in the 65th minute, assisted by Sydney Chura. Sydney Chura then added another goal just a minute later, extending SCAD's lead to 5-2. Despite a late goal from the opposition, the Bees held on to secure a well-deserved victory.
