GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The No.14 SCAD women's soccer team faced a tough challenge on the road, falling 2-0 to No. 6 Aquinas (MI) on Friday.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-1-0 for the season. Aquinas College is now 1-0-0 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD held strong in the first half, keeping the game scoreless despite several attempts from Aquinas. The Bees' defense was resilient, with goalkeepers Katelynn Balsiger and Saga Bryntesson making crucial saves to keep the team in the game. However, the second half saw Aquinas break through with two quick goals early on. Despite the team's efforts to respond, they were unable to find the back of the net. The Bees were able to find opportunities to put their opponent under pressure and push for goals including shots on goal by Sydney Chura, Abigail Siddall, and Alice Eriksson, however it was not enough for the Bees to get back on level footing.
