HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No RV SCAD men's lacrosse team battled No. 5 University of the Cumberlands through rain and harsh field conditions to an 11-8 decision in favor of the Patriots.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-3, 2-2 AAC, while the Patriots improve to 6-1, 3-1 AAC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD scored the first goal of the game with 12:15 on the clock. Unfortunately, Cumberlands scored five unanswered goals in the first quarter to take a 5-1 lead into the second.
 
The Bees outscored the Patriots 3-2 in the second quarter, cutting the lead to three (7-4) heading into halftime.
 
Both teams scored two goals in the third quarter and two goals in the fourth quarter to keep the score differential to three goals in favor of the Cumberlands (11-8).
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Sebastian Manuel and Evan Baker each scored two goals, while Jordan Reeves, Theron Turnbull, Mason Hickman, and Noah Moreland each scored one. Reeves and Turnbull added one assist for two points.
 
Lucas Martinez went 12-17 at the face-off, picking up five ground balls in the process. Dan Costigan totaled a team-high two caused turnovers, while six people had one.
 
Goalie Luke Lamendola totaled six saves in his 60 minutes of work.
