No. 10 Men’s Lacrosse Battles No. 3 Webber International in Three-Goal Loss

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The No. 10 SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to Babson Park, Fla., to face No. 3 Webber International University and battled to a 14-11 loss.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-4, 2-3 AAC, while the Warriors improved to 11-1, 5-1 AAC.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Webber took a quick 3-0 lead with just over 13 minutes remaining in the first quarter before back-to-back goals from SCAD made it a one-goal game (2-3) with 7:42 remaining. The Warriors scored four more goals to the Bees two to go into the second quarter up 7-4.
 
Both teams scored two goals in the second quarter to keep the three-goal differential (9-6, WIU) going into halftime.
 
Unfortunately, Webber scored three unanswered goals in the third to take a 12-6 lead going into the final quarter.
 
Five SCAD goals in the fourth quarter, to the Warriors' two, were not enough, as Webber held on to win 14-11.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Evan Baker and Mason Hickman totaled a team-high three goals, each while Theron Turnbull totaled one goal and three assists for a team-high four points.
 
Michael Mowers had two goals and one assist, while Lucas Martinez and Jordan Reeves tallied one goal apiece, with Noah Moreland and Sebastian Manuel adding one assist.
 
Jake Kozak totaled a game-high four caused turnovers, with David Nebus and Dan Costigan totaling two.
 
Goalie Luke Lamendola totaled a career-high 17 saves in his 60 minutes of work.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain on the road to face No. 2 Keiser University on Saturday, March 23 at 6:00 p.m.
