HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The No. 4 SCAD women's lacrosse team fell 19-6 to NCAA DII Dominican University New York Friday evening.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-4 overall, while the Chargers improve to 3-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD scored the first goal of the game to take a 1-0 lead just over five minutes into the first quarter. Unfortunately, it was the only goal for the Bees in the quarter as Dominican scored four unanswered goals to go up 4-1 going into the second.
The Bees only scored one goal in the second quarter as the Chargers scored eight to take a 12-2 lead into halftime.
SCAD scored two goals in the third quarter and two in the fourth quarter to Dominican's four and three to fall 19-6.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Clarke Haas totaled two goals while
Annise Berkeley,
Ainsley Jones,
Emma Roch, and
MaryGrace Gordon tallied one each.
Keagan Plume totaled three assists while
McKinsey Brown added one.
Haas had a team-high five draw controls with Berkeley and Plume totaling four and three draw controls, respectively.
Goalies
Chloe Zundel and
Lorna Fowles totaled eight and seven, saves respectively while splitting time in the cage.
